This place has fast service and their kitchen works equally as fast which is much appreciated. Portion sizes are generous and it's fun (and maybe a bit messy) to make your own wraps. If you're in the area you can't go wrong with stopping by.

We tried que viet and it blew our mind. The rice roll wrap with the juicy pork and chicken was amazing. It was tasty and the viet sauces tasted good.

3.5 STARS It was like déjà vu as we were walking towards Quê Việt and passing The Grand. Too bad Quê Việt wasn't there back in the day. It would have been THE spot to fuel up before losing your dignity (and maybe your bottoms) at The Grand...or GlasKat if you're an OG. Maybe it is THE spot with the youngins these days before clubbin' ? Opening in September 2023, Quê Việt offers takeout, delivery, and indoor dining. No outdoor seating. M E N U Vietnamese Cuisine with some twists (seems to be Viet-Chinese owned). They have some harder to find items like bánh xèo (crêpe), bánh khọt (mini savory pancakes), bánh hỏi (woven vermicelli), and cơm tấm (broken rice). Beer, wine, and sake available. F O O D * Bánh Hỏi Nem Nướng Thịt Nướng: Woven Vermicelli Noodles w/ pork sausage and grilled pork ($22): https://tinyurl.com/2auy87yu A colorful platter of chewy woven vermicelli noodles topped with scallion oil and crushed peanuts alongside flavorful grilled pork (tender) and pork sausage (firm + bouncy). Good savory sweet flavor with bits of charred edges. DIY wraps with rice paper, lettuce, pickled daikon + carrots, and herbs. Served with a side of tangy sweet pineapple sauce and nước chấm (fish dipping sauce). I appreciated the funk in the nước chấm but it wasn't balanced, it was too salty, lacking acid and sweetness. IF I only had the bánh hỏi, this review would be 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 stars. It was fresh and deliciously satisfying with a medley of flavors and textures. * Bò Tái Chanh: Beef Carpaccio ($17): https://tinyurl.com/2ffh3wuc I appreciate the pretty presentation and elevated take on the traditional Viet app but it gave beef tataki vibes more than carpaccio. A bed of raw onions topped with strips of seared steak, fried onions, peanuts and basil. The ratio of onions to steak was really off so the dominating flavor were of onions. * Cơm Tấm Bò Bít Tết: Broken Rice w/ ribeye, fried egg, fried shrimp tofu, salad ($25): https://tinyurl.com/vj9unzha - Requested medium rare Not my dish but I tried some (dining companion didn't care for it). The thin cut ribeye was surprisingly only seasoned with S&P, not marinated with aromatics. On the chewy side and cooked to blue rare. Skip the ribeye! S E R V I C E Very kind and friendly staff. Pretty prompt food service. A M B I A N C E Low-key with a dozen tables and bar counter seating. OG Chinese folk music playing in the background. P A R K I N G Challenging street parking but doable if you're fine with walking several blocks. Overall, given the high ratings, I was mostly underwhelmed by the food but gotta consider the area and demographics. IMO, Quê Việt serves decent Viet food if you're in Mission Bay/SoMa (get the bánh hỏi!) but their spin on certain dishes and the flavors weren't really my jam. 3.5 stars rounded up for the awesome service!

WoW! This Vietnamese restaurant totally fits the hype! I am excited to try out this relatively new Vietnamese restaurant in the Mission Bay District. The menu includes many traditional Vietnamese dishes! The grilled beef with lolot leaves and jumbo shrimps was amazingly delicious. It's served with the traditional woven noodles and Vietnamese vegetables. You will roll all the ingredients in the rice wrapper. So fun and super tasty! The beef noodles soup was also spectacular! The broth was clear and tasted amazing. The ambience was great and everyone in the restaurant was happy and loved their meals. The restaurant decor was beautiful and everything looks clean and organized. The background traditional Vietnamese music reminds me my old days eating out in Saigon. I'm also very impressed with the fast service and the servers are friendly and helpful with ordering. And thank you so much for providing me with the extra basil leaves which I enjoyed with my beef noodle soup! If you have not yet tried this place, you must stop by soon. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Que Viet Vietnamese Grill, and it was such a delightful experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and had me wanting more. We tried a couple of dishes that absolutely blew me away. First, we had the Woven Vermicelli Make-It-Yourself Pork Rolls. This was such a fun and interactive dish! The combination of fresh herbs, crispy pork, and vermicelli rice noodles made for an amazing, customizable wrap. You get to assemble your rolls, which made it feel even more personal and hands-on. The flavors were fresh and vibrant, and the dipping sauce was perfect for adding an extra punch. Then, we ordered the Shrimp Mini Pancake. Wow! These little bites were crispy on the outside, with perfectly cooked shrimp inside. Each bite was packed with flavor, and they had just the right amount of crunch. Paired with a dipping sauce, it was a little taste of heaven. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was casual and comfortable. It's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends or family. I highly recommend Que Viet if you're in the area and craving authentic, delicious Vietnamese food. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu!

Came here to try a new Vietnamese restaurant with a friend as my friend was craving pho! We found this place from searching on Yelp and came to gave it a try! My friend got the combo pho and I decided to try something new, so I got the woven vermicelli with grilled beef wrapped lolot leaf and tiger shrimp. For my dish, I would definitely give it a 10/10. The flavor was really good, and everything was well-portioned. I enjoyed how the herbs, meat, and vermicelli combine to create a truly tasty meal! They also provide rice paper and hot water on the side to wrap it yourself. Moreover, the ambiance was nice and decorated well! The servers were also very nice and attentive, providing us with water and checking in on us. We were also served very quickly! Overall, I really enjoyed this meal, and I would definitely come back again!

Met up with friends here for lunch and I'm glad my friend chose this place. The food and service were great We even got parking just around the corner on Brannan! It was on a Sunday, so it looks like Sunday is good for parking. Hubby and I arrived early so we ordered a pot of tea to share. The staff were just so chill. No rushing. When our friends came, we ordered the Appetizer platter (great value at $20), and I ordered the Rice Plate with Short Ribs with the Imperial Roll and salad. Food was great and came in a timely manner. My friend's bf ordered the pho with short rib and it looked really good. I may order that next time. The place is not very big, but it didn't feel cramped. They have two tables for 4 in the middle of the room that can easily be combined for a larger party. Would highly recommend this place if you're craving Vietnamese in SoMa.

Que Viet is a hidden gem. It small and cozy inside and I don't know if I would have seen it if it weren't for google maps. The spicy beef pho is so delicious and it always hits the spot on a cold or rainy day. The regular pho portion is huge and I can never finish it. However, I recently went for their lunch specials on weekdays and thought the portion sizes were perfect. On the weekdays, they have mini pho with spring rolls. The mini size was the perfect amount for me and it came with the rolls as well as Thai tea. I loved the spicy broth and didn't think it was too spicy but had a good kick to it. I thought the food was really great and would have definitely given it 5 stars. But the person sitting next to me found a large piece of plastic in their pho which made me do a thorough inspection through my soup, but luckily I didn't find anything.

This unassuming spot is located along Brannan Street in SOMA. There was no wait for a table of 3 on a Wednesday evening. Our order: Shrimp Mini Pancake (4): $12.00 +Fresh, hot, and crispy. It was my 1st time trying these, and they were delicious! +Side of herbs, lettuce wraps, and pickled veggies were fresh. -There were 4 pancakes, but only 3 lettuce wraps. Combo Pho w/tendon and tripe: $17.50 +Thin noodles were cooked perfectly. +Plate of bean sprouts & herbs were fresh. -Rib eye was a bit tough: Prefer typical cuts of beef. Sliced Pork Vermicelli: $17.50 +Full of fresh, crunchy vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, cabbage) +Imperial rolls were freshly fried and filled with a juicy filling. +Plenty of tender grilled pork +Rice vermicelli was springy. -Grilled pork was salty. Side notes: 1.) Hot water available upon request. 2.) Muni Metro T line is across the street. *Verdict: Solid spot for Vietnamese fare with a wide variety of dishes. I want to return to try the woven vermicelli!

Moving to mission bay I had trouble finding "go-to" spots but this has quickly become one of them. The ambiance is great with cute paintings on the walls, the service is pretty quick, the staff is friendly, and the dishes are excellent. I usually end up ordering the beef pho or the woven vermicelli. Would recommend if you're looking for a good pho places in the mission bay/soma area
